I didn't know that Aji Tei's under the very same management which runs Ajisen; if i'd known, i would have avoided this place like the plague! Stupid me missed the obvious connection in their names!
But then again, this place wasn't that bad actually~ Perhaps jux a wee bit better than Ajisen?

Dessert dummies!
Our Blue Coral Soda ($3.80)~ Tastes artificial but still swallowable!
No idea why the pictures turned out so bright! Mux be the bad (harsh) lighting there, haha! Anyhow, that's my Chicken Toji Set ($12.80); fried chicken drenched in flavoury broth with scrambled eggs~ Not too shabby; i kinda liked the overall combination!
My grouses were that the rice was too hard (not those soft fluffy japanese rice), the miso soup came semi-lukewarm and the radish (top right) soup came cold! *shudders*
Baby's Pork Cutlet Set ($13.80)~ The texture of the meat was kinda tough but not much complaints.
Both of us dun fancy raw food at all, but we decided what the heck; we'll jux try out this sashimi thingy once and for all to see why some ppl like them so much!
It turned out to be a bad choice!
Baby took a bite first and pronounced it tasteless. I took a bite and spat it out. Haha! Let me explain why. Correct me if im wrong; but i've always thought that these raw salmon slices were supposed to have a Q texture!? The one i had turned out to be really mushy instead; i suppose they served us sashimi which weren't fresh!
To sum up, Aji Tei's really those "once-is-enough" kinda restaurant!
P/S: Apparently this omu rice stall's by the Ajisen's management too!

i'm not really an expert, but so far from what i know, sashimi is supposed to be very fresh and have a melt-in-your-mouth texture! and it's not supposed to be mushy lor. eeeeeeee i think the one you had wasn't fresh! yuck yuck.
i love salmon sashimi!!! especially if they give us the fatty-tasting parts. just dip it in soy sauce, and eat it like that for taste. :o)

No.... Sashimi is suppose to both have a slight Q-ness to it and very very smooth texture... NOT mushy.... mushy = old sashimi tat is put inside fridge... nt fresh...yuk....
