Our first time having omu rice!
Takashimaya Food Village
#B2/10
Despite frequenting Taka's food village, we would usually just walk past this particular stall without taking any notice. They're actually Beard Papa's neighbour and enjoys quite a healthy customer traffic~ Seats are limited though so definitely not a place to chill and chat!
The curry cutlet set ($8) consists of the main dish and a bottled drink. Beneath the beautifully scrambled eggs (Yum! ^_^) was soft fluffy rice cooked in a tomato-based sauce and the fried pork cutlet was crispy and tender~ The curry sauce was thick and mildly spicy but a tad salty~
This is simply called Set Meal A ($7.50) and u can choose ur own bottled drink too. Very generous portions! Fluffy rice cooked in a tomato-based sauce together with chicken cubes were wrapped in a thin layer of omelette before drowning the whole thing in the tomato-based sauce again! A tad overwhelming if u ask me!
Love the (soft) onion slices though! The meat patties on top was good but had a taste which made us got sick of it easily! The macaroni was served cold and sour; thus it acted as some sort of an appetiser. Next to the macaroni was fried scallops if im not wrong. Not too bad! The fried chicken pieces were crispy, tender and moist but somehow lacking in taste.
We got rather sick of this dish a little more than halfway through coz there's tomato overload!
Still worth a try though!

Hi isn't Takashimaya a huge Japanese department store? I thought I'd say hi as you came to mind tonight... I've been reorganizing my sidebar and you've now got your own section under "Cookery Blogs". I see you're still posting up the same delicious photos!! I've also newly opened 2 new video blogs. You really must see my sneezing panda clip. It's really entertaining!! Come by!!... All the best to you
