There's so many new food stalls springing up in Plaza Singapura's basement! I was curious about this one as its name seemed to be suggesting that they sell pasta~
Plaza Singapura 68 Orchard Road #B2-40 Singapore 238839
Tel: 6341 9162
As a matter of fact, they do offer pasta; but we didn't get those!
The minestrone soup and lemon tea came with the set Baby ordered~ Their soup wasn't too bad; flavoury and a tad spicy to get things going!
Baby had the spring chicken (half) set ($11.90)~ Their chicken was nothing spectacular; rather mediocre~ We thought the buttery mashed potatoes and grilled corn (had a smoky taste) were done rather nicely though!
My fish and chips ($7.90)! Not much complaints, but no raves either. We both didn't like our side salads; it had a bitter aftertaste!
We ordered the Twin Delight Set ($20.30)~ Above's our honey bbq chicken and steamed chicken (choose from steamed, roasted or braised)~ Their chicken's rather good!
Here's the other side dishes!
Crunchy beansprouts~
I like this; it's called pai tee! Rather like little fried cups of popiah~
The MSG-laden sai to fishball soup!
There's also rice, soup (again!) and pepsi for 2 in the set~ So very filling! Although prices are a bit on the steep side, it's pretty worthwhile~
Went to hiddy's house for some baking the other day! She found this recipe from Chin Chai Chef and it was too tempting!
Ferrero rocher cake with nutella ganache! Imagine that! Our 2 favouritest in the form of a cake!
Lazy me hates all the beating and whisking parts most!
We high-fived each other when the batter turned out looking like a cake! Haha~
The filling and frosting! We were supposed to make nutella ganache but we made a boo-boo and decided to use the ferrero rocher filling as frosting since there was so much of it left! So techically we've made a ferrero rocher cake! ^_^
It's our first times baking a whole cake by ourselves and clumsy us made a few boo-boos here and there but hey! It wasn't half-bad at all! ^_^
I love going to KBox for my singing fix; especially their KLunch (11am - 2pm) where i can sing and lunch at an affordable price~
This is the breaded fish with ham set~ They have different sets everyday and we've been wanting to try this particular set for a long time now!
Unfortunately, the meals must have been lying around for quite some time as the fish and the ika tempura were cold and soggy! What a shame - their meals usually come pipin' hot!
Nevertheless, i liked the melted cheese and the tamago!
For some reason, we've stopped going to Yoshinoya for a long time now. And for some reason, we've recently started going back~ ^_^
The Causeway Point branch
We ordered this bento combo meal which included 2 main dishes, 2 miso soups, 2 green teas (choice of hot or chilled) and a potato mixed platter; all of those only for $15~ Quite a good deal!
I took the tuna fish set; not much complaints about the fish~
Baby's teriyaki chicken set~ The chicken was tender; not much complaints either!
I was surprised that the coleslaw was doused in copious amounts of sesame oil; it turned out to be too acrid and stung my tongue!
Loved the wedges and waffle fries; didn't like the fried sweet potato balls~ Actually i'm not sure whether it was sweet potato, but they tasted like it to me! Loathed the horrible wasabi-flavoured dip!
It's Singapore's 42nd birthday! Show ur love, people! Appreciate what u have and quit whining!
I watched the fireworks from Marina Square during the NDP Preview!
Damn the e-balloting system! Every year oso cannot get tickets!
Ans here's a video to commemorate National Day! U really have to watch it! ^_^
I jux caught the NDP telecast and i swore i almost burst with pride and into tears when they sang the national anthem (twice) and medley of national songs, the recital of the pledge and also when Lee Kuan Yew appeared! That's how much i love this land and that guy haha!
And coz i'm feeling totally patriotic right now, i shall post up this vid of my favouritest national song!
This vid is as old school as u can get. *Waves flag* Sniff~
